On the morning of January 24, 2026, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Vanuatu, Jotham Napat, along with a high-level delegation from the Consulate of Vanuatu in Vietnam, paid a courtesy visit to Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and held an intimate meeting with Vanuatu students studying at PTIT and the Vietnam Maritime University. Although this was an unofficial visit, it demonstrated the Government of Vanuatu’s deep commitment to human resource training and educational cooperation between the two nations.

Welcoming the Prime Minister of Vanuatu on behalf of the Institute were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac – President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice President, along with leaders from various functional departments of Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and the Vietnam Maritime University.

During the courtesy meeting, the Institute’s leadership presented an overview of PTIT—one of Vietnam’s key educational institutions in information technology, communications, and digital transformation. They also proposed several cooperative directions for training and developing human resources in technology for Vanuatu in the coming time. Representatives from both the Institute and the Vietnam Maritime University reported on key achievements in training Vanuatu students, highlighting the international students’ serious academic attitude, high adaptability, and successful integration in Vietnam. On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Vanuatu also signed the Institute’s electronic guestbook.

 

As one of the highlights of his visit, Prime Minister Jotham Napat held a warm and cordial exchange with Vanuatu international students currently studying in Vietnam. During the gathering, the Prime Minister expressed his pride in witnessing Vanuatu students learning in modern, dynamic educational environments at Vietnamese universities. He affirmed that education and high-quality human resource training serve as the vital foundation for Vanuatu’s sustainable development in the future.

The visit and working session of the Prime Minister of Vanuatu at Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology not only strengthens the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Vanuatu but also opens up practical partnership opportunities in education, training, and human resource development in the digital era.
