On March 30, the Lab had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring and insightful academic seminar featuring Eunsoo Nam, Adjunct Professor at KAIST and former Vice President of ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), one of Korea’s leading research institutions in information and communication technologies.

During the seminar, Professor Nam delivered a comprehensive presentation on the latest advancements and current research landscape of nitride-based semiconductor technologies and photonic devices for next-generation energy-efficient communication networks. His talk highlighted the growing importance of these technologies in addressing the increasing demand for faster, more reliable, and sustainable communication systems in the era of artificial intelligence, 6G, and data-intensive applications.

The presentation explored recent breakthroughs in nitride materials, integrated photonic devices, and their applications in optical communication systems.
