The Australia–Vietnam Strategic Technologies Centre (AVSTC) is now inviting applications for fully funded PhD Scholarships and Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions from outstanding candidates who aspire to build their careers in a world-class international research environment.
Established under the Vietnam–Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, AVSTC is a flagship initiative jointly supported by the Governments of Vietnam and Australia. The Centre aims to advance research, technology translation, and international collaboration in strategic technologies, contributing to the innovation ecosystems of both countries.
AVSTC offers fully funded PhD scholarships for candidates with excellent academic records and strong research potential. PhD candidates will also be employed as Research Engineers at AVSTC while pursuing a collaborative doctoral program between the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and the University of Technology Sydney.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline, with strong academic performance and good English communication skills.
AVSTC is also recruiting outstanding researchers for Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions across its strategic research areas.
Successful candidates will conduct high-quality research, collaborate with industry partners to translate research into practical applications, supervise PhD students, contribute to interdisciplinary research projects, and support the Centre’s strategic initiatives. In addition, they will be appointed as PTIT lecturers while carrying out their research activities at AVSTC.
The position offers a competitive salary of USD 30,000 or above per year (approximately VND 50 million or above per month), together with the opportunity to work in a vibrant international research environment.
Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate an outstanding research and publication record.
