On April 3, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology organized the Final Round of the P-Innovation 2026 competition. The event aimed to promote the development of an open innovation ecosystem within the university environment, tied to training high-quality human resources and developing technological products. The competition was hosted by Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, with the companionship of Samsung Vietnam Research and Development Center, NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam, and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, contributing to fostering university-industry linkages within the innovation ecosystem.

In a context where science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are becoming key drivers of economic growth, establishing open innovation ecosystems that involve universities, enterprises, and international partners has become increasingly urgent. With that orientation, P-Innovation was deployed as a crucial component in the strategy to build an innovation and startup ecosystem at Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology.

After 3 years of organization, the competition has step-by-step affirmed its role as an incubation platform within the university environment, where ideas are developed into products and gradually brought to the market.

Over 100 Participating Projects with Interdisciplinary and International Connections

In the 2026 season, the competition attracted more than 100 projects, which underwent 6 months of incubation with the guidance of lecturers, experts, and businesses. Through this process, numerous prototypes were formed, demo versions were finalized, and initial user validation was conducted.

A major highlight of the program was the interdisciplinary connection model, which featured technology students alongside economics students from Foreign Trade University and National Economics University. This combination helps integrate technological development capabilities with market mindset, enhancing the commercialization potential of the products.

According to assessments from experts, investment funds, and the judging panel, this year’s projects showed great diversity in fields, focusing on solving practical problems in digital technology, education, the environment, and digital transformation. Many projects reached the prototype stage, with clear application orientations and demonstrated market-entry capabilities.
