On February 3, 2026, the Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (RIPT) – Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) solemnly held the Inauguration Ceremony of the RIPT Innovation Center. The event marks a significant development in expanding the space for innovation, promoting university-industry collaboration, and creating a foundational platform to support students in tech entrepreneurship.

RIPT Innovation Center was established with sponsorship from Sotatek and PTIT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (PTIT IEC). The center is expected to become the nucleus connecting training, applied research, technology transfer, and student entrepreneurship in the context of digital transformation and knowledge-based economic development.

In recent years, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology has continuously promoted practice-oriented training models, positioning enterprises as strategic partners in training and human resource development. The inauguration of the RIPT Innovation Center is a concrete step toward realizing the close tripartite cooperation model among the university, enterprises, and students.

At the RIPT Innovation Center, students will not only study and conduct research in a modern environment but also have the opportunity to directly participate in real-world projects. Sotatek will act as a companion, advising and supporting students throughout ideation, product development, business model testing, and market entry.

RIPT Innovation Center is designed as an open space for students to deploy applied research projects, tech products, and startup models. The center creates favorable conditions for students to work in teams, engage in interdisciplinary connections, and access emerging technologies, as well as project and startup management methodologies that adhere to corporate standards.

Through the center’s activities, students will be able to:

This serves as a crucial stepping stone to help PTIT students master technology, step by step, and confidently enter the labor market and the tech startup ecosystem. According to the operational plan, the RIPT Innovation Center aims to incubate and deploy student-led startups in the coming year. In the initial phase, students from the Applied Information Technology (UDU) and Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) training programs will be the pioneering force to launch the first startup projects under the direct guidance of enterprises at the center.

With an application-oriented educational foundation that emphasizes the capacity to develop technology solutions and products, these student groups are expected to kickstart a series of applied research and tech startup activities, while laying the groundwork to expand participation to students from other technological fields across the Institute.

Putting the RIPT Innovation Center into operation further solidifies Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology’s determination to build a comprehensive innovation ecosystem, where students are at the center, enterprises serve as partners, and the university acts as the environment creator.
