On April 17, 2026, Australia-Vietnam Strategic Technologies Centre (AVSTC), in collaboration with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), organized the program “Vietnam Digital Dialogue.” The event served not only as an academic forum for knowledge exchange but also as a hands-on technology experience space, where journalists had the opportunity to directly engage with PTIT latest research achievements and innovative applications in the digital era.
In her remarks at the event, a representative of the Australian Embassy Vietnam highlighted the significance of the strategic partnership between the two countries in promoting innovation and digital transformation. Participants were then introduced to an overview of AVSTC an emblem of bilateral technological cooperation before moving on to the exhibition area featuring five outstanding demo booths.

The experience space became a key highlight of the event, showcasing cutting-edge technological solutions addressing a wide range of needs, from media to everyday life:

Demo 1: Quantum Key Distribution An advanced security solution based on quantum physics principles, ensuring the highest level of data protection and opening new possibilities for safeguarding information and sources in journalism.

Demo 2: AI-empowered Vietnamese Sign Language Interpretation An AI-driven application that translates Vietnamese sign language, helping bridge information gaps and improve accessibility for the deaf community.

Demo 3: Robot Control This booth drew strong attention as it was developed and operated by a team of female students and researchers from PTIT, highlighting both technological capability and the increasingly important role of women in engineering and technology.

Demo 4: Cultural Exchange through Virtualized Landmarks An interactive space featuring digitally recreated landmarks, offering immersive cultural exchange experiences and enabling users to explore the world through virtual travel.

Demo 5: Showcase of PTIT Technology Demonstrations (AI, STEM, AR/VR) A display area presenting a wide range of PTIT’s research products across multiple domains, including artificial intelligence, STEM education, and augmented/virtual reality, demonstrating a dynamic and diverse innovation ecosystem.
Through a series of discussions and hands-on experiences, the program provided a comprehensive perspective on the role of technology particularly 5G and AI in shaping the future of modern journalism. Beyond information delivery, journalism in the digital age is evolving into a platform for creativity, interaction, and personalized user experiences.
The event was not only a convergence of knowledge and technology but also an important stepping stone for fostering international collaboration, spreading the spirit of innovation, and reinforcing PTIT’s position in leading digital transformation in Vietnam.
