On the morning of July 31, 2025, the seminar themed “Application and Development of Ultrafast Fiber Laser Technology” was successfully held at the Australia-Vietnam Centre for Strategic Technology (PTIT).

Throughout the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Khanh provided an in-depth analysis of the pivotal role of fiber laser technology in the current era of rapid technological advancement. His presentation elaborated on the operating principles of ultrafast fiber lasers and highlighted their wide range of potential applications, including precision measurement, material processing, and biomedical applications. He also introduced outstanding products developed by his research group, such as high-precision optical measurement systems, cancer cell detection devices, and radiation measurement equipment. These innovations not only demonstrate strong applied research capabilities but also present promising prospects for technology transfer and commercialization in the near future.

In addition to the technical presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Khanh also shared valuable insights into various opportunities for research collaboration and academic development. He introduced international scholarship programs for students, as well as research funding initiatives aimed at supporting early-career researchers. This information provided clear guidance for expanding scientific cooperation and served as a motivation for both students and lecturers to pursue international academic and research opportunities.

The discussion and Q&A session took place in an open, engaging, and academically enriching atmosphere, clearly reflecting the strong interest of Vietnam’s young scientific community in ultrafast fiber laser technology.
The organizing committee would like to express its sincere gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Khanh from the University of Arizona, USA, for taking the time to deliver such a passionate and insightful presentation. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all esteemed guests, researchers, lecturers, and students who attended, listened, and actively contributed to the success of the seminar.
The success of this event once again affirms the vital role of international academic exchange activities in connecting knowledge, spreading research inspiration, and empowering the next generation of scientists to reach new heights in their academic and innovative pursuits.
